Description

Greenstep invites you on an international high-altitude expedition with climbs of Huarapasca (5420 m) and Alpamayo (5947 m), one of the world's most beautiful peaks, in Peru's Cordillera Blanca.

It is designed for groups of 2 people, accompanied by 1 UIAGM guide for every 2 participants, with a technical, safe and personalized approach. Huarapasca is the acclimatization warm-up before Alpamayo.

These are two demanding mountains that require previous experience in high-altitude hiking, a good level of physical endurance, command of crampons and ice axe, rope use and roped-team work.

Requirements for participants

Have previously climbed mountains above 5000 m
Experience in technical hikes on snow and ice
Good physical condition and endurance training (able to hike 8–10 hours a day at altitude)
Basic handling of technical equipment: crampons, harness, helmet, rope
Willingness to hike in the early morning hours and sleep in a tent at high altitude
Recommended: having summited El Altar, Antisana, Cayambe or similar
