RunCan terms and conditions

I accept the terms and conditions set out in this document, which I have understood and voluntarily accepted.

I declare freely, spontaneously and voluntarily:

1. I have decided to participate together with my pet in RunCan2027, in the distance selected in my registration, hereinafter the "Race", to be held in Santa María de Llacao, Cuenca, on June 13, 2027, organized and operated by Greenstep, hereinafter the "Organization".
2. That I am in perfect physical and mental condition and optimal health, and that I have been duly informed that optimal physical preparation is required to participate in the “Race”.
3. That I do not suffer from any illness, injury, disability or adverse condition that disqualifies me from participating in the “Race”.
4. I am fully aware that if, on the date of the Race, I present any of the following conditions, I will refrain from participating and may not request a refund of the registration fee: pregnancy, intoxication, being under the effect of psychoactive substances; use of crutches, a cast and/or prostheses; heart or respiratory diseases; and any other conditions that disqualify my participation. Should I participate nonetheless, I release the Organization from all liability.
5. I assume all risks associated with participating in the Race, including, but not limited to, falls and other accidents, illnesses arising from direct contact with other participants or from weather conditions (including, but not limited to, temperature and/or humidity), vehicle traffic and trail conditions, and I accept in general all associated risks, which I declare known and assessed at the time of registration.
6. I declare that my pet is in adequate physical condition to participate in the "Race" and has no health condition that could put its physical well-being, or that of other participants and pets, at risk during the event.
7. I understand and accept that I am solely responsible for my pet's behavior during the event. This includes, but is not limited to, responsibilities arising from fights, bites or any other kind of aggression by my pet toward other dogs or toward race participants.
8. I accept that any incident caused by my pet that results in property damage or injury to third parties will be my sole responsibility, and I assume all legal and financial consequences this may entail.
9. I confirm that I will keep my pet on a leash at all times during the "Race", and that I have all the means necessary to ensure its safety and that of the other participants.
10. I acknowledge and accept that, if my pet is lost or goes missing during the "Race", it will be my responsibility to search for and recover it.
11. Having read this declaration, knowing the risks and considering that I accept them by the act of participating in the Race together with my pet, I, on my own behalf and on behalf of anyone acting on my behalf, release the organizers of RunCan2027, volunteers, their strategic partners, sponsors and/or their representatives and successors from any claim or liability of any kind arising from participation in this Race.
12. I likewise release those mentioned above from liability for any loss, theft and/or robbery I may suffer.
13. I authorize the organizers, representatives and sponsors of the Race to use the registration information, photographs, films, videos, recordings and any other means of recording the event, of both myself and my pet, for any legitimate use and for the appropriate purposes they see fit, without compensation or financial obligation of any kind.
14. I authorize the processing of the personal data provided in this document and of that collected during the Race for purposes related to it and for commercial purposes, without prejudice to the rights provided by law, in particular the right to know, update, rectify and request deletion of my data from Greenstep.
15. There will be no refund of registration fees even if the participant, for any cause or reason, including the occurrence of an act of God or force majeure, ultimately does not take part in the sporting event referred to in these regulations. The Organization shall not be liable or obliged to refund the registration fee should an act of God or force majeure prevent the event from taking place. If, by decision of the authority and/or the municipality, or for other reasons or circumstances that compel the Organization, or that oblige it to cancel the event, the RunCan2027 race shall bear no liability whatsoever and is of course authorized to retain the sum or sums paid as registration fees. If, by decision of the authority, the Organization is compelled to postpone, cancel or modify the event circuit and/or move the start or finish location, or change the date and place of delivery of the services, the Organization will assume the obligation to reschedule the race. The Organization shall likewise not be liable or obliged to refund the registration fee if it modifies, alters or changes the start and/or finish location, or the circuits or routes.
