Antisana
A technical snow-capped peak between Napo and Pichincha. Not recommended for beginners.
Description
Between the provinces of Napo and Pichincha, Antisana (5758 m) is one of the most technical mountains in the country. Not recommended for beginners.
It is done over two days: the first night is spent in tents at a camping area at 4800 m and the summit climb starts in the early morning hours. Because of the technical skill it demands, the equipment includes technical ice axes.
Want to get to know the mountain before you climb? Its name, its history, the camp and the gear, in one guide.
